The Ginetta Junior Championship concluded at Brands Hatch on 30th September. Hendy Performance sponsor 15 year old racing talent James Hedley, who had secured second place on the grid after a great qualifying result in round 25.
Unfortunately he was knocked off the track after an exciting battle at the front of the race which pushed him back to mid-way. On the last race of the season, he suffered some damage to the bonnet and was called into the pits to have it removed.
Overall, he finished the year overall in 7th place and 4th in the Rookie Championship in a field of 25 young drivers.
The Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK's longest running junior series. It provides the first step on the motor racing ladder for drivers aged between 14 and 17, and gives them the opportunity to race on some of the country's most famous tracks in front of a massive audience.
The Championship is the ideal starting point for young talent and the motorsport world is full of racing stars who started their careers as Ginetta Juniors.
